OneStaff New Plymouth is the leading supplier of temporary and permanent staff to a number of industrial based clients in New Plymouth.

Our client who is 100% locally owned and proudly servicing the Taranaki region is looking to bring on a qualified or journeyman Diesel Mechanic to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Dismantle and rebuild machine components to manufacturer's specifications
• Ensure breakdown work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Light engineering as required.
• Maintain and/or extend knowledge and skill base required for effective performance.
• To ensure that all services are consistently and reliably provided in a manner which satisfies recognised quality standards and customer demand.
• Supply detailed job cards with all customers' details for timely invoicing.
• Maintains and records accurate timesheets.
• Work alongside colleagues in an effective professional and motivating manner
• Maintains Company Health and Safety Policies and safe work practices

  Standard hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 08.00am to 04.30pm with possible overtime. The hourly rate will range from $26.00 - $30.00 per hour dependent on your experience.

  Requirements to work for OneStaff:

  • ID required; Passport OR NZ Birth Certificate & Driver's License
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol test
  • Must have reliable transport with a current Driver's License
  • CV, Relevant Certificates or License (i.e. forklift or site safe passport)
