Job description

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a National Certificate in Heavy Auto Engineering and have experience in the maintenance of heavy road vehicles. Preference will be given to those with hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance experience and/or experience in automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis.

A Qualification in welding to AS/NZS 2980 would be an advantage as well as your experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure vehicles and associated equipment are maintained according to company policy and vendor recommended programmes.

- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy standard and meet regulatory requirements.

- Ensure vehicle and unit servicing is conducted in accordance with the company Preventative Maintenance Programme.

- Provide 24hr 7 day call-out response on a roster basis.

- Liaise with Operations Supervisors for availability of vehicles for maintenance.

- Conduct technical inspections.

- Accurately maintain the register of all maintenance work in progress.

- Maintain vehicle records by annotating all inspections, servicing and repairs on the job sheet and the in-cab Vehicle History File.

- Maintain job processing on the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
