About the role

A high profile organisation based in Auckland CBD is going through a period of exciting transformation, and is seeking s Development Team Leader to lead a high performing development team and enable them to deliver high quality technology solutions to the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead, coach, mentor and professionally develop a development team
• Provide technical leadership in development towards both Project and BAU.
• Monitor and manage team performance
• Establish, maintain and champion development patterns, best practise, and standards
• Encourage a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in technology, processes and procedures
• Mature and promote Agile ways of working
• Collaborate with other IT delivery teams to continue developing skills
• Actively identify areas to apply simplicity to business processes, products and platforms

Skills & experience required

Must have:

• 8+ years’ experience in the IT development & support areas
• 2+ years of people leadership experience
• Strong integration experience essential, preferably with Biztalk
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Development Environments and Products
• Ability to capture innovative ideas and translate into real business opportunities
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to leverage strong relationships with key business stakeholders
• Good time management skills
