Our client is a long established, well respected, privately owned manufacturing and distribution company based in Palmerston North. They are currently looking for a DC Team Leader for their busy Distribution Centre.

The hours are Monday - Friday 2.30pm - 11.00pm - no weekend work!

You will be required to lock up the premises in the evening and lead a couple of staff members so we are looking for someone who is up for that level of responsibility.

The key responsibilities of this pivotal role are:

• Devanning Containers (Forklift & hand unloading)
• Assist with picking orders for despatch using an RF scanner
• Leading a small team
• General administration/data entry duties

  To be successful you will have the following:

  • Sound knowledge of stores and distribution processes within a warehouse environment
  • Forklift licence
  • Reach licence (desirable)
  • Experience using an RF scanner (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid numeracy skills
  • Competent with MS Word/Excel
  • Current MPI accreditation (desirable)
