Job description

We’re seeking experienced Data Services Architects to join one of NZ’s leading consultancy organisations.

This is a challenging and highly rewarding position leading from the front on data services product development initiatives and playing a vital role in assisting customers solve business transformation/technology challenges, problems, and project needs.

In this role you will provide data platform architecture and data engineering expertise by leading big data solutions development in customer consulting engagements and product development projects.

It is essential that you are coming from or have proven consultancy experience in your background.

Other preferred requirements for this position will include:

Several years working in a similar role providing consulting and/or solution architecture and implementation
Demonstrable experience with data services and engineering technology and tools
High capability balancing architecture/technical implementation expertise with financial modelling and commercial views
Experience building and optimizing 'big data' architectures, pipelines, and data sets
Experience with big data storage and software stacks including S3, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, Pentaho, Cloudera
Experience with enterprise data management infrastructure and Azure, AWS and/or GCP service configurations and implementations
