Our Works and Civil client, based in Invercargill and who is also a global industry leader who builds and maintain critical infrastructure across NZ, Australia and the Pacific are currently seeking a builders Labourer/Hammer hand.

The job

This position will see the successful applicant working predominantly in the outdoors on a range of sites including new subdivisions, bridges, over passes and major works projects. As an integral part of the team within the Civil Carpentry crew you will be assisting with the following duties;

• Assisting trades man measuring, cutting, & utilising hand & power tools on a daily basis
• Erection of form work and precast components
• Placing reinforcing steel
• Placing and finishing concrete.
• Safe use of various power tools.

  Skills & Attributes

  This position is for somebody that has an ambition to enter the world of Civil Infrastructure, specifically in the Construction sector, is keen to grow, learn and develop. If you have a passion for the outdoors, hands on, physical work & would like to work on large scale projects this could be the job for you. To be considered you must have the following skills & attributes;

  • Must have a full Class 1 Drivers licence (or very close to being able to obtain it)
  • Ideally some experience or knowledge of the industry
  • Passion for the outdoors
