Job description

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, recommending, implementing and maintaining procedures to ensure that their manufactured products are of acceptable quality and produced in accordance with Customers specifications. This role is also responsible for coordinating/maintaining physical security and HSE administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the maintenance of quality specifications and standards for production procedures and finished products;
  • Develop, implement and control quality and environmental management policies, standards and procedures to maintain SO-9001, ISO-14001 and security standards;
  • Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans or process control procedures to ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards;
  • Conduct investigation into quality breaches where it affects production output and/or quality of finished product;
  • Conduct internal audits/inspections for quality, H&S, and environmental management systems ensuring maintenance and compliance with QMS and EMS Certifications;
  • Lead and foster a HSE culture onsite;
  • Facilitate Health and Safety meetings, providing regular feedback to employees and management on HSE matters
  • Work with Management to facilitate RTW practices for ill and injured Staff as required.
  • Maintain current HSE & Regulatory knowledge.
  • Validate procedures to ensure adherence to security policies, standards and procedures;
  • Ensure effective communication with all parties to ensure adherence to procedures and standards;
  • Prepare audit reports summarising production and quality problems together with recommended corrective actions and;
  • Other tasks as requested by management.

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Quality Management System development and administration essential;
    • Knowledge of Scheme requirements/HSE Management an advantage;
    • Previous experience developing and writing policies, standards and procedures;
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy;
    • Able to plan and prioritise work to meet audit schedules and meet deadlines;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Self motivated and able to work autonomously with a focus on continuous improvement;
    • Experience or understanding of lean manufacturing concepts is desired but not essential
