Their projects portfolio has been in the multi-story high rise and mixed-use development sector with current projects up to $100M. Due to growth, they are now at point where they want to secure the talent of a commercial manager with experience and networks in the NZ market.

The key focus of the role will be to:

• Working with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for helping to secure new opportunities with tendering, developing bid strategies, and managing any risks
• Contractual management to ensure risks are well minimised
• Building and developing working relationships with senior project managers, project teams and suppliers and sub contractors
• Post contract you will be providing accurate financial information to support project reporting to the Board and external stakeholders
• Mentoring and team development

As an applicant you:

• Have a career history of working within the NZ market on vertical build projects and have been able to win work and are able to leverage off contacts and networks. Networks within government clients such as health and education would be of value.
• Have strong ability to read, interpret and write complex contract terms and conditions according to local legislation and regulations
• Outstanding leadership skills with ability to interact and influence positively at all levels
• A QS tertiary qualification
• Drive, motivation and will to be part of a high performing main contractor
