Our client are a long-standing, family owned business located in Addington. They specialise in the design and manufacture of wood and multifuel fires for the domestic market. We are currently recruiting on behalf of them for a CNC Operator/Setter & Mechanical Assembler.

The role will involve:

Set up and operation of CNC laser/turret machines:

  • Ensuring all parts match physical part production and reporting any mis-alignment of factory output/engineering department drawings.
  • Supervise product flow throughout department to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Working with supervisor to manage production to optimise stock position
  • Breakdown and preventative maintenance when required
  • Maintain system integrity (CNC database vs engineering database)

    Assembly:

    • Pre assembly of parts
    • Assembly of final product

      Other tasks as required, such as:

      • Forklift operation
      • Quality assurance
      • Sandblasting
      • Packing

        To be successful you should have:

        • Mechanical engineering trade qualification, degree, or similar
        • Experience setting and operating CNC laser/turrets
        • Experience with mechanical fitting and assembly
        • Flexibility - willingness to move into different departments & shifts when required
        • Intermediate level computer skills
        • Competent using a forklift with a current forklift licence (F Endorsement and OSH)
        • Strong passion/attention to detail
        • Good time management and communication skills
