Hamilton Jet are a world renowned engineering firm that special in the design and manufacturing of marine propulsion systems for the global market. They export 98% of production to key markets including: vessels for the military, homeland security, search and rescue, fast ferry, tourism and adventure operators, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.

We are seeking applicants with a "machining" trade qualified background, preferably time served Fitting & Turning or, would consider non-trade skilled CNC machinists with a minimum of three years' experience in the following activities.

Essential Skill:

  1. Exposure to modern manufacturing Health & Safety standards within an environment that promotes a "Zero Harm" culture.
  2. Demonstrate a strong level of understanding of G & M code.
  3. Must be available to work shifts and/or occasional overtime as required.

    Required Skills:

    1. Machine tool setting and operating to specific work instructions is required on a minimum of 2 & 3 axis CNC Lathe's.
    2. Previous experience with 3/4 axis mill-turns or can show capability to progress to mill-turn competency within a set training period.
    3. Able to navigate through engineering drawings in relation to the dimensional and geometrical requirements of the machined components.
    4. Required to manufacture a diverse range of critical components with specified tolerances.
    5. Capable of conducting product self-inspections.

      Desirable Skills

      1. It would be advantageous if the applicants were conversant with Fanuc and/or Okuma machine controls.

        We have multiple vacancies on different CNC machines on both afternoon and night shift. Competitive pay rates offered. Full time work for at least 6 months +
