Job description
We are seeking applicants with a "machining" trade qualified background, preferably time served Fitting & Turning or, would consider non-trade skilled CNC machinists with a minimum of five years' experience in the following activities.
Essential Skill:
- Exposure to modern manufacturing Health & Safety standards within an environment that promotes a "Zero Harm" culture.
- Demonstrate a strong level of understanding of G & M code.
- Must be available to work shifts and/or occasional overtime as required.
Required Skills:
- Machine tool setting and operating to specific work instructions is required on a minimum of 2 & 3 axis CNC Lathe's.
- Previous experience with 3/4 axis mill-turns or can show capability to progress to mill-turn competency within a set training period.
- Able to navigate through engineering drawings in relation to the dimensional and geometrical requirements of the machined components.
- Required to manufacture a diverse range of critical components with specified tolerances.
- Capable of conducting product self-inspections.
Desirable Skills
- It would be advantageous if the applicants were conversant with Fanuc and/or Okuma machine controls.
