The role

We have current vacancies for experienced Class 5 drivers to join the sealing crew for their up and coming season. Working with a crew of experienced Civil Operators you will be an integral part of the team undertaking mainly a driving position carting and tipping chip seal from stock piles to site.

• This is a travelling role where you will be away for up to 2 weeks at a time working predominantly in Southland & Otago but at times throughout the South Island.
• Work will be commencing in the coming weeks & will run through until April or later depending on the weather.
• Being an integral part of the team your role will involve driving a Class 5 truck & trailer, loading gravel & transporting it to site, and manual labouring at times to help the team on the ground
• This position does have the potential to turn into permanent work for the right person

  Days & Hours

  • The days are long & rewarding where you will be working as part of a team keeping NZ roads safer. Starting anywhere from 6am onwards a normal day will be 10 -12 hours long.

    Skills and Experience

    • Hold a current Class 5 licence with Road Ranger experience.Must be experienced in carting & tipping bulk materials ideally in a civil environment
    • Must be a team player and happy to assist the team in all aspects of the job, with an exceptional work ethic
    • Must be physically fit & able as you will be required to get in & out of vehicles multiple times a day
    • You must have the ability to travel & be happy to live & work closely with a crew
