CIVIL DRAUGHTSPERSON

Resonant Consulting Limited is a multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying firm with offices in Palmerston North, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. They are currently looking for an intermediate/senior civil draughtsperson to join their survey team in Palmerston North.

As a member of the draughting team you will work alongside fellow draftees, surveyors and civil engineers to deliver designs/drawings that meet the project brief. You will ensure they are delivered within the given deadlines and comply with relevant QA, drafting and technical standards. You will have an understanding of projects costs/budgets and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external clients.

Your skills will be in civil design and draughting and you will be able to develop a hand sketch into design and then draught it. You will work on varying projects from residential subdivisions to roading.

Your leadership skills will see you act as a mentor for cadet draftees and provide them with training and assistance along with peer reviewing their work

Ideally you will meet the following criteria;

  • Proven draughting experience
  • Relevant formal qualification
  • Experience with 3D CAD, AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver projects on time and on budget
