We have a number of Manawatu clients who are looking for solid labourers who are interested in a career in civil construction. We have roles across a number of sectors in this environment and are looking for reliable people who want to gain or refine skills in civil construction.

Each day can be different in this role, you could be helping construct new roads, digging holes, replacing road signs or marker posts, general pothole maintenance, controlling traffic - the list goes on.

Hours of work can be between 6am-6pm Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend day.

  Candidates we are looking for:

  • Traffic Controllers - with a current Level 1 qualification
  • Labourers - with Concrete and/or Asphalt laying experience
  • Previous experience working on a civil site
  • Able to work long days in a physical role
  • Current Construct Safe ticket is an advantage

    These roles can be casual or fulltime/ongoing and turn into permanent opportunities for the right candidates. You must be comfortable working in temporary assignments to start.

    To be successful in this role you will need the following

    • Be able to pass Pre-employment drug screen
    • Have reliable transport to and from work - Class 1 Full licence is an advantage
    • Be able to supply current work references
