Our client is a highly regarded, well-established Civil and Structural Engineering company with their Head Office based in Palmerston North. They are looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their busy team.

There is flexibility in this role and you can be based anywhere in the Lower North Island and commute to the office 2 or 3 days a week and work remotely the rest of the time.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Review work and sign off producer statements
• Provide cost effective and accurate engineering outcomes meeting client expectations
• Handle tasks with minimum supervision
• Manage multiple projects or contracts within time and budget
• Plan, coordinate and control projects
• Monitor costs and progression throughout each project
• Ensure work meets relevant quality standards
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements
• Prepare reports & documentation
• Obtain consents & approvals

  To be successful you will have the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Solid experience as a structural engineer
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • An intermediate level of computer literacy in MS Word & Excel
