    My client is a well-known multinational company responsible for some of the well -loved brands in the market. They are currently looking for a temporary Category Development Manager to support their sales and marketing team.

    Day to Day responsibilities:

    * Set trade strategies on price, promotion, shelf and range optimization

    * Build a strong relationship with external data providers

    * Create standard reporting suite and provide reporting to stakeholders

    * Lead cost price increase initiatives

    * Set range priorities and shelf strategy for major categories

    * Create measurement tools to monitor performance of promo, range priorities and shelf execution

    * Lead sales and marketing team in customer engagement with a category-based approach

    * Attend category reviews

    * Complete ad hoc duties and projects

    The ideal candidate:

    * Proven experience in FMCG sales/ marketing or category development and trade spend optimization

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Strong leadership skills

    * Ability to engage stakeholders from all levels

    * Adept in managing demanding and difficult situations

    * Displays a "can-do" attitude

    * Team player
