Our client is in the fibre, cable and connectivity sector specialising in solutions that integrate voice ,data and video applications. Part of a well- established global network. The Business Development Manager reports to the Country Manager and is part of a small team in New Zealand.

This role will require you to market and sell products to a group of established accounts and grow the territory by another 20 percent. Acquiring and retaining long term quality clients. Technical sales experience in this sector will be critical.

To be successful in this role it will be essential you have had ( but not limited to) :

  • 5 years sales experience in either fibre optics, IT, electrical or a related field.
  • In depth knowledge of the NZ North and South Island markets.
  • Connections in the enterprise, industrial and energy sectors
  • Experience managing a channel partner
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven prospecting, business development and KPI driven nature
  • Solutions focused selling
  • Experience in reporting, presentation and responding to tenders
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

In return the organisation will offer a solid induction and training programme. The team is small and your role, once you get established can be quite autonomous and working your day around developing relationships across the North and South islands. The office is based on the North shore and whilst this may suit a close to home option it is an NZ sales role.
