About the role:

This is a Business Analyst position with a government agency working closely with their analytics team.  The analytics team develop predictive models used by a number of government agencies to ensure New Zealand’s on-going boarder protection. The project is now in the operational delivery/deployment phase and requires a business analyst to engage with customers to elicit business problems, identify analytical projects, develop project requirements, scope definition and communicate back to stakeholders the progress and outcome

The role requires an understanding of data and analytics, however the primary duties for this piece of work is business requirements elicitation, project scoping/design, data source identification, gap analysis and partnering with modelling analysts who will build a model to meet the customer requirements.

• Senior Business Analyst
• Superior business writing skills
• Experienced process and design professional
• Experienced in project scoping and elicitation of requirements
• Strong people and soft skills required for customer engagement
• Understanding of data science and predictive modelling
