IMMEDIATE START - Join a boutique community focused Cafe based in Franklin / Bombay where you can put your fantastic skills to use! We are looking for a confident, bubbly & experienced kitchen cook / baker to join our small team.

This role supports the chef so training is provided but you must be confident & experienced enough to run the kitchen solo as you are both on alternating days. This working kitchen is steady & at times (weekends mainly) very busy so you must be able to work under pressure. You will also be happy to serve customers on quiet periods, assist with the cafe cleaning & serving food out front along with the team.

All food is proudly prepared onsite with that "home baked touch", cakes, slices, all sorts! This is where you can add your touch to the cabinet display or even better run a special on the black board for lunch.

Pre Requirements:

  • Reliable work track record
  • Relevant & recent experience in a "working kitchen"
  • Can "poach an egg" and take pride in food presentation
  • Customer serviced focused
  • Passionate cook / baker
  • High standard of food hygiene & cleanliness
  • Work well under pressure & deliver food in a timely manner
  • Great multi -tasker
  • Loves fun in the workplace & good banter!

    if you have worked in cafes as an "all rounder" & can make coffee etc, that's a huge bonus!

    The cafe is open Tuesday - Sunday, hours are negotiable but ideally we are looking for someone that is flexible and happy to start with approx 20 hours per week with the potential to grow into full time. Happy to discuss further & answer any questions you may have!
