The Company & Role

Our client is a small, family owned business, based in Avondale. They provide a number of products and services, primarily to the Food & Beverage industry. They have a knowledgeable and reliable team, with a strong innovative mindset.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Daily entering of all local and overseas creditor invoices
  • Reconciliations against month-end statements
  • Process staff reimbursements and credit card statements
  • Update daily cash flow forecasts
  • Processing invoices to customers and collection of accounts receivable
  • Complete filing of GST/PAYE/FBT return
  • Responsible for month-end financial requirements
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll
  • Any other Ad-Hoc duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in a similar role (Assistant Accountant)
  • Degree qualified, ideally with or working towards CA, CPA, etc
  • Experience using Exchequer accounting software preferable 
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Organised, with strong attention to detail
