The Company & Role
Our client is a small, family owned business, based in Avondale. They provide a number of products and services, primarily to the Food & Beverage industry. They have a knowledgeable and reliable team, with a strong innovative mindset.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Daily entering of all local and overseas creditor invoices
- Reconciliations against month-end statements
- Process staff reimbursements and credit card statements
- Update daily cash flow forecasts
- Processing invoices to customers and collection of accounts receivable
- Complete filing of GST/PAYE/FBT return
- Responsible for month-end financial requirements
- Responsible for weekly and monthly payroll
- Any other Ad-Hoc duties as required
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a similar role (Assistant Accountant)
- Degree qualified, ideally with or working towards CA, CPA, etc
- Experience using Exchequer accounting software preferable
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Organised, with strong attention to detail
