Who are we?

We help young people on their journey to become capable, competent, and widely experienced registered electricians. The Electrical Training Company (Etco) is 100% owned by Master Electricians, the electrical contracting industry representative body. Our mission is to employ, educate, and develop Etco apprentices to be among the most capable electricians in the industry, and we have been doing this for 27 years. Our Apprentices are important to us, and our willingness to develop them motivates us to provide excellent learning environments and strong support for the 3-4 years they are in our care.

Who are you?

You are a Registered Electrician looking for the next challenge in your career. You are also passionate about using your skills and experience to help others work their way into the industry. You will also be well connected in the Auckland electrical industry, and passionate about the role that Host organisations play in developing the next generation of electricians. You will be a Mentor, a Coach, and a partner, with a strong commitment to high quality, customer centric, relationships.

What can we do together?

Together we will put the Apprentices at the heart of all we do. In conjunction with our wonderful Host organisations, we will do whatever it takes to get our Apprentices over the line to qualify. We will be supportive but demanding when we need to be and we don't shy away from tough conversations.

We will ensure that Electrical Training Company and its apprentices continue to be 'leaders of excellence' in the Electrical industry.
