The Opportunity

If you'd like the chance to work with interesting machinery, systems and technology then this leadership opportunity with our client Viridian Glass could be just what you're after. Reporting into the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of all glass processing. You will also motivate, lead and coordinate all production requirements to achieve the highest level of customer service in their fantastic facility located in the business hub at Highbrook.

What you're there to do:

  • You'll have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring all team members and contractors are trained and adhere to site safe policies and work instructions. You will also report and analyse any incidents, accidents and hazards and take appropriate action through great organising skills and on to it team leader capabilities;
  • You'll have a chance to stretch your leadership abilities by ensuring staff have a clear understanding of their production targets, goals and how to improve their productivity. You'll also be responsible to induct all new staff members and to ensure there is ongoing development, training and support of your team to achieve a can-do and positive team culture;
  • You will need to work collaboratively with many other internal and external stakeholders and continuously make sure your team understand the needs of your customers and the company's quality standard;
  • The hours are super friendly for someone that likes an early start! Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm.

    Skills & experience you'll bring:

    • You will have proven experience in either glass processing or furnace operating;
    • Previous managerial experience will be an advantage;
    • Experience working in a factory, warehouse or manufacturing environment;
    • Safety focused individual with proven record of following and directing safe procedures and ensure H&S policies are met;
    • Super strong work ethic and positive attitude;
