Viridian Glass is a leading provider of residential and commercial glass in New Zealand. Viridian Glass covers everything from energy efficient double glazing, shower screens, splash backs, pool fences and balustrades through to our Euroglass premium fittings and installation.

The opportunity

They're currently looking for a passionate Accounts Payable to join their successful team in Auckland.

Reporting to a highly supportive Credit Controller, the primary purpose of the role is to support the Finance and Management teams across the business through liaising with key suppliers to ensure prompt payment of invoices, accurate coding and monthly vendor reconcile.

The role will include the following tasks:

  • Key point of contact for queries in relation to accounts payable transaction from both the business and vendors
  • Creation of purchase requisitions and orders for head office as required
  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Statements
  • Responding to queries
  • Payment runs
  • Review of vendor statements
  • Coordination of paperwork for creation of new vendors
  • Administration of credit cards including reconciliation of expense reports and preparation of SAP journals for loading
  • Administration of Air New Zealand card including reconciliation of statement and preparation of SAP journals for loading
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of petty cash balances

    What will make you an excellent fit for this role?

    • Experience in a similar role handling Accounts Payables
    • Strong systems experience - SAP experience will be highly regarded
    • Solid Excel skills
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, both internally and externally
    • Resilience to cope with any pressure coupled with an eagerness to carry out tasks correctly and efficiently
