Finance and Administration Manager

South Auckland based

My client is seeking to appoint an accomplished, results-driven Finance and Administration Manager responsible for managing all financial accounting and general office services to deliver high-quality, results-oriented company goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team. The role is busy and exciting for a commercially minded person who can lead and develop the finance function.

Key responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting
  • Financial processing
  • Identify and lead system improvement
  • Manage and lead finance team and work with greater company leadership team to achieve the financial and strategic goals of the company
  • Health and Safety (H&S).
  • Preparation and interpretation of monthly financial reports
  • Provide financial insights and commercial reasoning for future business decision making
  • Identifying opportunities for process and reporting improvements
  • Provide insights to the business on operational effectiveness and profitability
  • Statutory compliance reporting and returns
  • Management of accounts receivable and payable functions including Credit Control
  • Annual budgets and forecasting
  • Cash flow forecasting and management
  • Oversee Payroll including identifying, advising and implementing changes as required
  • Adhoc projects and reporting

    The skills and personal attributes we are looking for:

    • Current CA (or equivalent qualified) with at least 5 years accounting experience
    • A proven track record of leading a high performing team and an ability to engage and motivate others
    • Innovative with a strong desire to strive for successful outcomes
    • A desire to look for opportunities to improve
    • Highly organised, process-oriented with strong time management skills
    • Ability to work autonomously on a diverse range of tasks
    • Strong business and commercial acumen
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders
    • Experience in the Production industry is desirable
